Growth Potential was opened in March of 2008 by Sally Burbridge.

Sally's previous experience and accomplishments include:


Administrator for Animas Environmental Services, LLC (AES). Projects included successful application to the New Mexico Economic Development Department's Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) for expansion of the company through new job creation and STEP UP funding for additional training for existing employees. Ms. Burbridge worked closely with state agencies in New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado to assist clients and AES through the reimbursement process for environmental projects.

Prior to work at AES, Ms. Burbridge was the Health and Safety Officer at Aztec Excavation. Her duties included coordination of all aspects of safety training, inspections of equipment and documentation and file maintenance for Department of Transportation regulations pertaining to drivers. Projects included the creation of an equipment maintenance database and inventory system to track parts and supplies for the company shop.

As Executive Director for the Aztec Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Burbridge created and implemented business educational seminars and workshops, developed a co-operative advertising program for members, worked with local municipalities on various economic development projects, and wrote and adimisered various grants.

As the Office Manager for Western States Management, Ms. Burbridge's work included daily management and assistance, including creation and maintenance of complex filing systems for seven client companies; facilitation of contractual agreements with federal, tribal and private entities; and the research and assistance in implementation of new business ventures.


Ms. Burbridge has also been instrumental in the formation of two 501(c)3 organizations: Fantasy of Lights, Inc. and Aztec Trails & Open Space (ATOS).


Education, Certifications and Awards


Sally received an A.S. in Accounting from San Juan College in 2001, and has taken classes toward her B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. She is a 2001 graduate of Leadership San Juan, 2003 Aztec Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, 2009 Aztec Chamber of Commerce Servant Leader of the Year, 2011 recipient of a namesake award - Sally Burbridge Award: " dedication of your exceptional community development" and is currently the Mayor for the City of Aztec, NM.
